Vibration in low speed. Review on Honda Activa

After extensive research I short listed suzuki access and honda activa. I decided to go for activa because of its proven technology , metal body and smooth engine. Later I came to know I was wrong. the active was smooth up to 1000 km. After that it started to rattle a lot at low speed. from 0 to 20 kmph the engine does not have any noise but I am feeling the vibration in the handle. From 20 kmph to 50 kmph the engine makes more noise. at 60 kmph and above the engine noise is less and vibration is also less. but in indian roads it is not possible to maintain its 60 kmph speed.

My activa is 5 months old. I have already done 6000 kilo meters. completed 3 free services. the service in honda is very pathetic. I reported the vibration and sound problem at every service but those guys just replace the engine oil and does water wash. my problem is not rectified at all. But still I can get mileage of 50 km per litter and top speed of 90 kmph. I don't know how that is possible but under full throttle I can reach 90 km per hour in the odo!!!. I am quite satisfied with my activa because of its good mileage and top speed. the service guys says if u open the engine for sound problem u may not get the same mileage.

My activa is highly reliable .On most of the occasion I maintained 65 km per hour on the open high way and always cover 50 km per stretch nonstop. the activa does not give any problem at all. it is highly reliable. and the seating positing is amazing. You won't feel any back pain. As far as riding comfort is concern, the activa is good for good roads and bad for bad roads. The suspensions are stiff and it is bad when u drive in poor roads. controlling the activa at low speed is excellent. once u cross 70 km per hour, the vehicle is very difficult to control. One of my local mechanics recommended to use castrol activ scooter engine oil for activa.

I changed the engine oil to castrol. Now the vibration is some what lesser than before. Apart from the engine vibration and noise problem I am over all satisfied with my activa. I don't know weather the problem is there in all new activa or only with my activa.

Update: I am writing this after completing 12, 500 kilo meters. until now I did not face any problems in my activa. most of the time I run my activa for 54 kilometers continuously non stop at 55 kmph because I sometimes took my activa for my office which is 54 kilometers from my home town. I did not face any back pain may be because of national highway. until now the mileage is 50 kmpl.

I change the engine oil more frequently once in 1600 km because I am running it continuously for one hour. I used castrol activ scooter oil but it give statring trouble in morning. it also looses it viscosity soon. last week I went for the 5th service. the service guys put honda 10w 30 engine oil. now the engine is very smooth and noiseless. even it starts at one kick in the morning.  In my area the average temperature is 32 degrees. I don't know weather 10w 30 oil is right choice for activa. castrol activ scooter is 20w 40 oil. since the service guys put that oil I dont have any options to object it. my activa is running better now than before. I will post more update after completing another 5000 kilometers.
