Which one?. Review on Honda Activa

Hi guys how are you doin..I own a Nova 135 and my best buddy owns an Activa..he recently bought it against my advice.. that really hurted me because that was the first time in our 5yrs of friendship he didnt take my OPINION SERIOUSLY..after 40 days .. on christmas day he comes to my house and says that I was wright about the activa..he told me all the trouble shoots that activa gave in 40 days..............

1.......I CANT understand why people or so mad about ACTIVA....MILEAGE;;;It gives lower mileage than the nova 135. I know many people who own a activa I ask them all ..they say it gives 36-40km\Lt. this figure is after 2 or 3services and 2500kms in the ODO....check out the other reviews on this website 80% of them say that it sips a lot of fuel..

2.....Service & Spare parts;; as far as I know service reputation of honda is not so good.and the activa's body is made of metal;;I don't understand the praticality behind that..... it only makes it heavier and difficult to handle...it also makes the activa's body costlier.. I can change my nova 135 full body for just Rs1400..while the activa's cost Rs 3000 ....in case of an accident it is cheaper to repare a nova than the activa..and other spare parts are also costly for the activa than nova

3.....STYLING;; EVERYBODY know's that NOVA or NOVA 135 LOOK BETTER THAN THE ACTIVA....in terms of style nova is light years ahead of ACTIVA....so if your a die hard honda fan I suggesst you go for the DIO than the activa.Dio gives better mileage[Count my word for that], Looks more stylish, and it weight's lighter than the activa

4..Price..Activa costs about Rs37000[on road hyderabad A.P]..ha ha.. Nova 135 costed Rs37,650..nova 135 comes with all the goodies like mobile charger, illuminated under seat storage ,glove box....but you have to pay Rs 1000 extra in hte activa to get Glove as an optional extra

5...Power..the activa produces about 7.2bhp@5000revs and has a top speed of 70kmph nova 135 produces 8.5bhp@4500revs it's top speed is 90kmph[very good for an automatic scooter]..and nova gets to 0-60kmph in 9 secs...Activa gets to 60kmph mark in 11secs[huge difference]..and what molre nova 135 is gives 50 kmpl in real life driving conditions..but activa is far far behind

CONCLUSION;; If you are not adie-hard honda fan go for the nova 135 it has lots of goodies more power and better mileage &good service reputation..

If you are die-hard honda fan go for the DIO.. only cons of dio is its head light is mounted on the body..and many dio oweners complaint about weak headlight...but the the problem with the headlight exists for all the scooter in the segment[ check my review on nova 135..] so it is up to you to decide..............AS far as about my friend he was sorry about the decesion and planning to exchange a UNiCORN for his activa in the honda's exchange offer................BYE HAPPY NEW YEAR 2005..........AND DON'T FORGET TO RATE MY REVIEW.
