Chill out with activa. Review on Honda Activa

After spending around a year on my honda activa I guess its the right time to write a review on it.But the first thing which occupies my mind is 59% recommendation for such a cool bike (of its class) ?? Whats wrong :-?

Anyways..

Smoooooothhh ride.: yeahh..The moment when u start racing the vehicle and start racing it you can feel the smoothness which u cant experience with a kinetic or a scooty or any other vehicle of its class.The engine sound is soothing and doesn't irritate you at all.Doesn't make huge noise even after a year or so like my old scooty does.

Very good shockers: No hassles even if you dont slow down on a bumpy road or at a speed braker...if you slow down its good for you you wont even feel the bump/speed braker..u will just slide up and down on the speed braker just like butter slides on a garam garam parantha :)

Maintainence free :Its been a year for me and believe me I have not replaced a single part of it. Never ever did it break down anywhere in the middle of the road.I have just done its servicing from time to time from the dealer and thats it.

Starting problem: Morning when u try starting the vehicle you cant start unless u give the choke. You have keep the choke on and drive for around 30 seconds or so and then put off the choke. I have tired numerous times to start the vehicle without the choke, it does start but the moment u start racing, it will go down

Dicky becomes hot : If I travel for quite a long time the dicky of the vehicle becomes hot, though nothing fatal has happened until now but the stuff you keep inside the dicky experience the warmth :) ..so if you keep things like icecream and drive for around 4/5 hours continously I am sure that you will have to eat the shake :)

Accessories : This is not really a -ve part of the vehicle buts this aspect deals with the company policy. Very few accessories are provided. The vehicle comes only with mirror and a main stand

1>No side stand

2>No number plate

3>Do side guard

4>No saree stand

5>No guard

6>No beeper for the indicator

This is really weird , the company should improve on it. One has to spend around 2000+ for the accessories.

Waiting time: One has to wait minimum for 15 days or so and keep following up with the dealer (atleast I had to do so).By chance if you choose a rare color of the vehicle like golden or something, u r dead..keep waiting for 45 days and keep calling every alternate day. Silver and black is the most common and easily available

Average : One can a very good average if you drive it cautiously without excess usage of brake and unecessary racing.

Worst - 35km/lt

Best - 45 kms/lt

I get around 40 or so.

Overall its a great bike if u compare it with nova, scooty pep or any of the kinetic series(Zoom,etc)
