A Happy Owner. Review on Honda Activa

We (me and my wife) have been riding this vehicle for almost 2.5 years and have been impressed with certain qualities of this vehicle.The looks were never its strength and it was positioned as a family vehicle that is reliable and doesn't give trouble to its owners. It has in general stood upto its expectations barring a couple of instances. Are we happy with the vehicle. It is extremely reliable. Solidly built (it took a bad hit in the front and still rode happily). Good pickup with pillion (at 75 kgs I am not exactly light) and good storage space (not huge).

The delight was customer service from Honda when they resolved an issue I had raised through email and did the work free of cost.. the dealer (Didar Motors Chennai) though initially reluctant came forward and gave superb service after Honda intervened. The mileage is not earth shattering. It delivers 30-35kmpl.. (i have known people who get 40-42kmpl) and I can live with it for short trips around the city (6-7kms). Long drives can be tough on the back and the seat though broad and very well designed is not great for long rides (by long rides I mean anything more than 15kms). .Another wonderful feature is the many free service that Honda provides (almost 2 years)...A major issue in the last year was self start related, especially a cold start.

It was resolved in the subsequent service. Overall we would recommend this vehicle to anyone who is looking for a easy to ride vehicle that will be used by multiple members in a family. The vehicle is extremely reliable... and a great vehicle for city commute..
