Hi there
my main purpose behind writing this review is to caution everyone against buying the Activa from Honda. The reason I am advising you against it is that if you buy this vehicle you will suffer from many problems. So unless you have nothing better to do in life except keep visiting dealer and service center and temples (to pray) and tear your hair out in frustration, better avoid this piece of junk.
Here are the problems my family has encounters with this vehicle:
Starting trouble - it is a royal pain to try to get this bike to start. especially in the morning. you have to try at least 25 times before it comes to life. and if you want to use the kick start, better buy army boots.
Mileage low - the dealer told me at time of buying that the mileage is about 40. All Lies! We get about 25-30 kmpl. Why should I settle for such low mileage? Despite me telling the dealer at time of servicing and then three times he is just not interested in or able to fix this problem. Now I am not expecting 50-60 kmpl but dont you agree that in these days 25-30 is shocking? and this is just one year old. after some time I guess it ll be cheaper to take an auto rickshaw than to use this vehicle!
Vehicle has balance and stability problem. CAnnot even attempt to drive more than 40 kmpl as it wobbles like mad and gets downright dangerous. I have had to buy the strongest sturdiest helmet because of fear of accident!
I know some people like this vehicle - it was based on similar recommendations that I bought this - and maybe the problem is inconsistent production quality. Whatever it is,do not take the risk, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PIECE OF JUNK.
