One month ownership review - Overall good vehicle. Review on Honda Activa

I have bought this scooter on 12th August, 2013. I want to buy gear less scooter with good mileage, performance and looks and durability.Before selecting this I looked into various options TVS Wego and Suzuki swish 125.

I have done test drive for TVS Wego. I liked the handling very much in this, suspension and handling is very good compared to Activa. Somehow I did not like the look of this vehicle.  not too good like Activa and also saw some reviews that TVS Wego has battery problems. I was not sure how much they are true, except this TVS Wego also is good a option I feel.

I wanted to TD (Test drive) Suzuki Swish also. I went to Apple auto dealer in BTM 2nd stage in Bangalore one Saturday. The sales man told they wont provide the TD vehicle on Saturday and Sunday. I don't understand what is this?? We have holiday on those days only. I asked them about this, but there was no proper response from them. I dropped the decision of buying this vehicle.

Finally, I went to Honda showroom and inquired about that.Honda people told with HET engine it is giving 50 mileage and also saw some reviews also mentioning the same. I did not doubt about Honda performance or pickup because we see more than 50% vehicles Honda Activa.

I want good mileage and a reliable vehicle which can be used for many years I like the looks of this also very much. so I decided to buy this and booked the grey color vehicle. Honda show room people are charging too much for accessories.

So  I did not take any accessories from the show room as they were very costly, approx 5000 Rs.. I took all of them from JC road, Bangalore for 2300 Rs. which of same quality.

Pros:

*Engine runs very smooth

Good pickup

Comfort*

Previously I rode Splendour. May be due to this, I felt suspension is hard in Activa compared to Splendour. Initially I felt driving and handling difficult but after 15 days I felt comfortable to drive.

Cons:

Suspension is not that good

Giving a weird (keek )sound on speed breakers if I increase little speed. This is not good..

Anybody observed similar kind of sound in their Activas?

Too bulky..It is difficult for girls to move the scooter when not in driving. more practice is needed.. If anybody is looking a vehicle for ladies better check some other one like TVS wego or ...

Mileage:

Mileage approx. it is giving me 35 km not giving 50 km as said by Honda people. I inquired about this and heard from others After the 2 services it will give good mileage. if it is not giving at least 45 kms then I will suggest others to buy other scooter :)

Conclusion:

Finally I am overall happy with this vehicle but not too great vehicle giving bad sound on humps.

If you don't want to experiment any new vehicles you can just buy this overall this is good.. Otherwise you can consider Suzuki access 125 or TVS wego. they are also good nothing great in Honda except engine and looks.
