I've been using Honda Activa since Nov 2004. As far as the engine is concerned it is really smooth, but handling and balance very bad. From the very first day I've been having problems with its balance. The vehicle tends to tilt to the right side while riding. U can see this if you watch moving Activas on the road, and if u are someone who travels more than 15-20 km to office everyday, it could give u a severe back pain. All its good points like smooth engine, transmission, styling seem to be outweighed by its poor handling. The price at around 46k also is a bit high.
If u are planning to go for a gearless scooter, u could consider Pleasure which has the same engine as Activa, but is much easier to handle or the new 125 cc Kinetic SYM Flyte.
Also have a suggestion if u find it difficult to start your Activa(or any other scooter) in the mornings, slightly open the throttle and then press the start button, it should start with the first press itself, no need to use the choke.
