Smartest move I made was buying the Activa 20 months back. I just could not wait for the 3 month delivery period so paid Rs. 4000 extra, and must say the scooter has been worth every penny I spent. No I did not go to the service centre for the free services. Got it done from the neighborhood mechanic. it has been worth it.
I have not had to spen a single penny on maintenance. it is really a hassle free scooter. The puncture proof tyres are great. the ride smooth, silent and comfortable. pick up is excellent. the only con is the average. I never got more than 35 in the city, much lower than the claim. it is very sturdy and I have actually carried 2 bags of cement, that is 100 kgs on this scooter. Really great stuff. I have left it in the rain and never had a starting problem, just pull the choke and it starts immediately. never had to use the kick start either.
