I own this scooter for last one year. I have mixed experience of this product from HMSI. Product wise it is having some real plus points.
The engine is very reliable and time tested. Transmission is a real good one. The power delivery and pick up is good and compared to a 100 cc engine. The electricals are simple and reliable. The body is study and fit and finish is above the standard of other Indian counterparts like Bajaj and TVS.
The Shock absorber is a misfit for this nice scooter. The scooter is only operable in smooth roads and cannot be taken in bad roads. The shock absorber needs a lot of improvement. The mileage is acceptable considering a automatic scooter. I am gettiing 45Kmpl with standard fuel of HP. The high octane fuels give more. This is accepable.
The real pain point is the dealers and service centres. The service centres are overleaded and they take least concern to the user problems. They just are interested to change the consumables even though they are not required. Regarding solution to any genuine problem, the service centres are not capable of doing that and give ridiculous excuses. I reported a problem to one service authorised center( C R Scooters) at Baroda regarding sudden stoppage of the engine of the scooter. They instead attributed this to fuel problem. I fill only from two Company operated pumps of HP and BP. SO doubtful fuel is unlikely. The service guys are mostly novice mechanics and with limited knowledge and staffs are rough in behavior. The free services means a wash and oil change only-No resolution to genuine problems.
I feel that this good product( atleast in Indian Standard) from HMSI needs good service which is lacking.
