Poor Mileage & Over Crowd In Service Centres For

Honda Activa scooter is good in all its features except the mileage. I was fortunate to use the scooter for years and it was really good vehicle for all the gender and most suit to family. It is also important to see the cost of travelling in scooter. I am really shocked to know the fact that my cost of travelling in scooter is very high compared to bike. We get hardly 30 kilometres per litre. This is very poor compared to bike which get more than 60 kilometres per litre. This is indicates double of bike running cost and cannot afford those who uses active on daily basis for long journey of 10-25 kilometres in a day for job /studies purpose. This need to be improved at least near to bike mileage level. Those who need lot of traveling for job like marketing need to consider the mileage the vehicle get per litre of petrol. Honda company need to do some research and development to improvise the mileage of their scooters so that running cost per kilometres cab be reduced. Honda’s bikes offer better mileage so they need to adopt some innovations in those areas. They used to tell us if we do regular service, change oil at right time, or change the parts in right time will help to increase the mileage capacity slowly. But, I could see there are no such growth in the mileage increase at any point of time. The second important thing Honda need to improve is improve the service coverage in the Honda’s authorised service centres. There is heavy crowd in most of the Honda authorised service centres across the India. They can start more owned service centres or can increase the capacity of the service centres or can start specialised service centres for Activa alone. They can put specialised service centres for Sunday alone so that customers can come and give their scooter on Sunday and get serviced their scooters. This will reduce the crowd in the service centres and also customer get best service out of the 50 customer rather than 100 customers. Honda can always seek customer view about the service centres service quality so this will make the private Authorised Honda service centres to do well in their service quality. Sometimes, due to overcrowd in the showroom, some customers flee to local service man, they will ruin the vehicle and charge high cost.
