Honda two wheelers india has launced its first 125cc automatic scooter in india with the activa 125. Based on the hugely popular Activa, this new model is said to have been developed to offer a compelling blend of performance, efficiency, comfort and advanced features in the highly competitive 125cc scooter segment. In this new mobel, honda's Combined Braking System of CBS comes as a factory fitted standars while deluxe variant is loaded with 190mm front disc brakes for maor controlled braking. CBS is a front and rear wheel interlocking braking system which reduces braking distance by 24% compared to conventional brakes. It also comes with a digital meter, tubeless tyres, sturdy 5 spoke alloy wheels and viscous air filter. In terms of style, the front panel comes with chrome bar, headlight, vibrant instrument cluster and stylish indicators. The X shape broad tail lights and robust grab rail enhance the style quotient. The scooter's telescopic suspension, longer and wider seat, bigger 12" rim size at front wheel, longer wheelbase and comfortable upright sitting posture improves ride quality. It also offers better storage space.
Activa 125 comes in four colorus pearl sunbeam white, midnight blue metallic, asteroid black metallic and force silver metallic. The scooter is available for sale in two variants Standard and deluxe. It is priced at Rs55, 679 for Standars variant and Rs61, 489 for the deluxe variant(bots prices ex-showroom, chennai)

In this backgroud, Activa 125 is Honda's next strategic step towards reinforcing its market leadership. Activa 125, the Honda scooter is its most powerful yet, but promises good fuel efficiency as well. The Honda Activa 125 made its first public appearance at the 2014 auto Expo and has garnered a lot of interest among the indian scooter consumers since then. The honda Activa 125 is plowered by a 125cc four-stroke, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine coupled to a CVT or a variomatic automatic transmission. The new honda scooter churns out a maximum power of 8.7 PS at 6, 500 RPM and peak torque of 10 Nm at 5, 500 rpm. These figures are similar to the likes of the suzuki access, the main competitor of the Acitva 125.
At the heart of activa 125 is honda's newly developed 125cc engine which develops 8.6bhp at 6500rpm and 10.12Nm of torque at 5500rpm. The scooter comes with HET(honda Eco Technology) as standard. Now, this technology claims to improve efficiency without compromising on overall performance. The Activa 125, as a result, delivers a class-best claimed fuel efficiency of 59 kmpl. for a scooter, the Activa 125 is fairly loaded with features including digital meter, 5 spoke alloy wheels, a front disc brake, metal body, tubeless tyres and a maintenance free battery. Futhermore, it also gets Honda's Combined Braking System for better control when braking.
