To begin with HomeTrade.com can really confuse the hell out of you if you are to go by its advertising - great looking celebrity endorsements - Hrithik, SRK & Sachin!! Word has it that each of them was paid a couple of crores for being HomeTrade's brand ambassadors!
Never the less coming to what their business really is about - Fast Moving Financial Goods (FMFG) - as they would describe their products. Essentially HomeTrade.com is the company’s' face / brand (Parent Company being Ways India Limited) for online trading i.e. buying & selling of shares on the stock exchange (BSE / NSE) simply put.
The vision of the company is to commoditize financial services to something which can be purchased over the counter (OTC) and at the same time ensuring that Finance no longer is the bastion of few but it can fun and an enjoyable experience. The first of these products can be bought over the web, which is branded as HomeTrade One. It's more of a start up kit to trading on the net & information on an interactive CD-ROM for an easy end - user interface.
Great ideas & thoughts here with HomeTrade but will it be achievable or implemented to the hilt is yet to be seen. Also should they continue with their slick advertising then they would definitely have left the world behind guessing.
