The company customer service is terrible which you realize when you call for a problem.
My ordeal began with the ordering of a 3-door wardrobe to my home. The order number is 208543132. The fabfurnish team dispatched the item within a day and gave a tracking ID. The tracking ID mentioned that the delivery date was 29-05-2015. From now things went south.
The delivery guy calls up on 21st May 2015 at 1:00 pm(out of blue) and asks me to show up at my place immediately for the delivery. I mentioned I am not at home. I ask him to come later. He just keeps the stuff on the porch and walks away. The bloody wardrobe is probably 150-200kgs. I couldn't move it an inch. I called the community electrician and with great difficulty we moved the items into the house.
Now the trouble increased. The installation was supposed to happen in the first floor of the house. I called the carpenter. Carpenter says "its not my job to lift the wardrobe to the first floor. Call the company and get it moved. Only then I am going to come and install". I called up the company. Mr. Ranjan went through the charade of "I am so sorry"(they never are) and then assured me that the compliant No. 1055759 will get resolved in 24 hours.
I wait for 24 hours. No call. I call them again. This time, Mr. Deepak Shokeen picks the phone. Apparently, the issue has already been resolved. Basically, the resolution is that I can go F* myself. They are not going to send anyone to move that 200kg behemoth. I can do whatever I want. His defense was "I didn't tell Fabfurnish where I wanted to install the furniture. Consequently, their delivery guy didn't realize that he has to wait". Who on earth in their address would tell the corner of the room where they are going to place a wardrobe? Are you kidding me?
I said "Take it back". No the fun part. They constantly advertise, "No questions asked 30 day return policy". Turns out it doesn't apply to furniture! They sell ONLY furniture and their return policy doesn't apply to furniture. Wow!
Anyhow, I have this 4 piece giant Jigsaw puzzle sitting in my living room occupying vast amount of space. If there is anyone living in Bangalore, wants to take it to their home(for a price) we can work out a price. Leave me your comments.
I have decided one thing. Never Order Online in India from Indian companies. Order from Amazon. Indian companies know only to cheat.
