I ordered https://fabfurnish.com/Galore-Multicolor-Planter-3-Pcs-259894.html on 28th April 2016 and made an online payment of Rs. 648 including shipping charges of 99 [Order No. 206978296]. I would like to mention here that their online payment system is working fine and there is not a single technical issue. The order was dispatched on 29th April 2016.  I received the order on May 3 but the product was defective.


The colour coating on some parts of planter was not proper and the original rusted metal was clearly visible. I was disappointed to see it. I informed Fabfirnish on the same day and shared photos of the products for further investigation [CASE:1492193].  Photos were very clear and I was expecting refund asap.  I sent email to Fabfurnish on May 4, 2016 requesting for refund. I returned the defective product as per their process. I received response from Fabfurnish on May 7, 2016 stating ‘We would like to inform you that we have forwarded your details to our Finance Team and we are processing the refund of your order. You will receive the transaction Id of the refund on your registered Email Id shortly.’


On May 9, I received an email stating, ‘Please be apprised that the refund process for your Order Number 206978296 has been initiated and the refund amount is Rs. 980.00/-. The transaction ID for the refund is 573044785577d. It may take up to 5 to 7 business days for the same to reflect in your account.’


I was surprised to read the amount of Rs.980. I thought lets wait  for 5 to 7 business days and see what is the amount getting refunded.  Unfortunately I did not receive any email/call from Fabfurnish and I wrote them on May 19, for asking the status of refund. Also gave them an example of Snapdeal services who processed my refund for a wrong order within 24 hours.  I received response from Fabfurnish, saying ‘Please be informed that the refund of INR 648/- was initiated on 09-05-2016 through transaction ID "573044785577d". We request you to kindly share your updated bank statements from 09-05-2016 till Date in case the above mentioned amount is not credited to your account, so that we can investigate further.” I got pissed of when an aggregator platform asked me to share my personal banking transaction details for a specific period to cross verify the refund entry. Does that mean, Fabfurnish has no end to end tracking of transactions?  or are they only interested in customer’s money? I responded on the same date that I am not legally bound to share my personal banking account details with Fabfurnish portal. I have not received my money within 8 business days as mentioned by fabfurnish. If you have initiated the refund to my account correctly then share complete transfer details including Name of the Bank, Account Holder Name, Account Number and Date of transaction and not just the transaction ID.” and on the other side I shared my bank account screenshot filtered only for deposits for those specific days as there was no other deposit entry. I received another response saying, ‘In reference to your query, we ask you to wait until 23-05-2016 and if the amount is not credited to bank account then do inform us so that we can verify and resolve the problem at the earliest.’  I did not receive refund on 23-05-2016 till 5PM so I directly called the customer care and it was a pathetic and disgusting conversation. Fabfurnish told me to wait till June 3, 2016(10 more days). They have some technical issue in their system. They are initiating refund but its not going to the bank and still these guys are making online business. In short they are easily playing with customer’s money, time and emotions. When I wanted to talk to senior manager of customer service I had been told that they are not available and they have only update available with them that the system will be working fine on June 3.  Fabfurnish, please learn something from Amazon.com or snapdeal.com if you want to stay in the market. Customer is the king of your business. Rest is upto you guys. I will get my money back anyhow but delivering damaged products is certainly not going to work.
