I have done some 5-6 transactions from them and here is my detailed experience.
1) IFB Microwave: delivered in 3-4 days, Hand delivered by local dealer. Got the freebies as well. Paid by COD
2) A SIA necklace, came in 8-10 days, by Bluedart, packing was good, paid by COD
3) Glen Food Processor: Came in flat 3 days, by Bluedart, delivered from city itself, paid by telephone IVR and availed discount
4) XBox controller: It took them more than 20 days to deliver it, it was packed OKish, delivered by bluedart. I kept mailing them and they were responding back that we arranging it ASAP. On the other hand few of my friends who ordered after I received mine; got it in 4-5 days flat.
5) Another necklace, its already 15+ days and as per their support it will take 10 more days.
So based on all these experience, I will rate them 3. If the product is in stock, they do ship it quickly with Bluedart. As most of the big products are shipped from your local city/nearest distributor city; there are less chance of damage while shipping.
At the same time; if the item is not in stock; its a endless wait. I have seen some sites cancelling the order and initiating refund process if the item is not delivered by vendor in defined time. Homeshop18 does not do anything similar.(It would be a real good option for them to implement)
So I would recommend them if you can wait for your stuff. I would suggest to use COD option as it does not charge anything extra
Though yeah, sometimes their rates(when used with discount coupon are unmatched). So its your call, I personally do not order anything which I need urgently.
