I have for the first time shopped online and I regret for having done so .I am having a terrible time following up on my order. I chose a pair of diamond ear rings for my mom’s birthday which was on 19th may 2010 .


I placed an order (order # 703726348) on 6th may 2010. On 7th I got a mail stating that I will get a verification call, which till date I didn’t receive. On the website they have mentioned that it will take about 6-7 business days for the order to be delivered. Hence I thought if not by 14th of may 2010 (which is the 7th business day) then atleast it shud arrive by 19th may 2010 which is the 10th business day.


I called up on 17th morning just to check on the status and guess what the rep told me? He said that this is a special order hence it is taking time. And he asked me to call by afternoon to check on the actual status.


I did so and the lady on the other line kept repeating that there was a problem with my bank server and was not at all ready to listen to my side of the story and disconnected me.


I called back and asked for a supervisor. I was kept on hold for more than 10 mins. I disconnected and called back. This time the supervisor appeared immediately. I communicated to him about his employees’ behavior. He said that he will check on that. I addressed my issue to him and he said that the order will be delivered latest by 21st may 2010. When it didn’t reach on 21st, I called back on 25nd and asked for a supervisor. I was put on hold again for nearly 15 mins. I disconnected and called back. Spoke to the supervisor, who said that there was a problem with the vendor hence the delay and that the order has been shipped and should reach latest by 27/05/2010. I did give a feedback on their website as well and never heard from them.


The order did reach on 27th but guess what??? They didn’t include the Warranty and Authenticity Certificate as claimed in the website. Now I doubt if they have even sent me the genuine jewelery A warning for all those who wants to shop online especially on home shop 18.


Please don’t shop. STAY AWAY FROM HOME SHOP18. Their customer service is pathetic; the customer care guys are well trained liars and will have good new stories every time u call them. Since the time I placed my order they never took any responsibility for the delay. They blamed the vendor and sometimes the courier and every possible dept. they could for the delay.


I am calling them today and let me check what excuse they have this time for shipping the wrong order.


What I feel is that every person who shopped with home shop18 and had a bad experience, shud team up and register a case in consumer court and teach these cons a lesson. Or else they will keep cheating people this way. What say, huh!
