I had ordered a dinner set that consisted of 78 items from Home Shop 18. For this purchase, I was assured of a gift along with the item.
On the day of delivery, things started getting suspicios when the delivery guy wanted me to come to them to collect the good while it was suppossed to be delivered at home. Since I was expecting it to be a big box, I asked them to come home; to which they denied.
So we agreed to meet half way. When they gave me a box(size about 20cmX20cmX45cm; weighed around 2 kg) in the middle of the road, I asked where is the box of the item & where is the gift box. I was said that's it! I asked him to open the box to ensure if it was utensils & nothing else; he told me that we can do at home.
As he had also said that he had delivered so many boxes from morning and no one had complained. So I asked give me a single number whom he had delivered from morning. He checked and checked but never had a single number. That raised more suspision!
Then they started asking for additional money then what was committed by me! And they started urguing. That was it when I said that I will take him to the nearest police station since I doubt the content of the box. He short of resisted. So I called the deal off.
I really wonder how 78 items of dinner set can weigh so less and be packed in such a small box. But I will really suggest everyone never to go for Tele-shopping.
