Allow your child to learn among his/her peers.

I absolutely DO NOT believe Home Schooling is good for any child, at any age!

School is not only a place of learning, it a place where children get to interact with other children, learn to share and compromise, learn respect for others and hear a point of view on different subjects, other than the view of their mother or father.(Even if you are a certified teacher, they need other points of view.)

Your child will have to eat lunch, alone. Go to recess, alone, giggle with no one and not have a partner on any special school projects.

Who will your child celebrate the last day before summer vacation with? And better yet...who will your child's friends be?

Most children need the interaction with other peers to enable them to form friendships and bonds(which are mostly formed, in school!) They need the companionship of others their own age.

You have to follow the same course of study and lessons, make the same progress reports and give out a report card, just like in school. So why not let your child go to school and enjoy the company of others?

There may be some circumstances when home schooling is the only alternative(due to illness or certain handicaps), but all in all, I do not believe home schooling is the way to go for children.
