I got married recently & visited the home town (Marathalli Ring Road, Bangalore) to purchase the house hold materials required to set up the house after seeing many ads in the magazines.
The Home Town is located in a very good place & clearly visible from the main road. The display of the items are very good & the maintained very well with each floor for different household needs. Only till here the story about Home Town is good.
Only the items from display are good. We need to hunt for the sales person to get information about the displayed materials. All the items we requested are out of stock (4 out of 5 items requested are out of stock). The lead time for the items varies from 1 week to 4 weeks. So not good for any person who is willing to set up new house immedaitely.
Even for a regular washing machine the lead time is 10 days!!!. The still worst part is that the goods will be delivered not on the delivery date confirmed during the billing, but on the date of their wish. After 2 to 3 days from the goods delivered date, the items will be fitted!!!
Two of the delivered items had a shortage of some of the parts for which I need to follow up to get the materials. They do not have th courtesy to inform the status of the materials... Frankly speaking this is my first & last visit to Home Town. I am still waiting for some of the goods to be delivered. Hopefully I receive all the goods in good condition......
