We ordered a COT from hometown. First of all the delivery is after one month which is a different experience from @home which takes 10 days for delivery. Anyways we went ahead and ordered the cot. The sales person did NOT clarify any other terms at the time of the purchase
Next we got a call for delivery 5 days early !! Wow!!And we were told that it would be delivered on a saturday. We vacated the whole room, removed our bed and kept things ready for the arrival of our new COT.
However, it did not arrive on Saturday. On enquiry we found that its to be done on Sunday.... Hmmmmm that was still ok and bearable.
Come Sunday the COT is delivered in the morningWe ask the delivery guys abt assembling ! They say "Ma'am, pls contact Home Town. They would send the fitters"Oops I thought you guys are the fitters as well. Another point where I feel @home was better off, they did the delivery and assembling in one shot saving any discomfort to the consumer
Now I call the Home Town to enquire abt the fitters.The reply "Maaaaaaaammm there are NO FITTERS TODAY. We would send them tomorrow !!"
Oooooops, my room is gone shabby with 2 BIIIIIG packets lying there and I have NO space to sleep.I fight back, ask for some fitters the same day !!But I am given several numbers (not xferred either internally) to cal back myself and find out.The only response I get "Maam no fitters today. we would send them tomorrow"
This was PATHETIC !! Is my house a Home Town godown!! I dont have space with your delivery lying here !! Take it back and let it come with the fitters !!
Unfortunately I had to wait for the fitters to come at their OWN SWEET TIME to come and fit it for me.. So guys, pls pls consider this story before you choose Home Town esp.ly for big products.
