Hello All,

You dont really need to debate on which movie to see over the weekend if it stars the awe inspiring, the lass with the sweetest smile , the one and only Ayesha Takia.

So I trudged along without any feedback whatsoever to watch Ayesha Takia in ''Home Delivery''.

A few things immediately struck me as I made myself comfortable in the half-empty theatre.

The movie seemed different , Ayesha Takia didnt look as good as she did in Dil mange More or Socha na Tha and yeah more importantly, the movie seemed to have got its timing wrong. You would probably realize that with the number of times you get to hear ''Happy Diwali'' at a time when most people like me are drawing plans for a Goa trip for Christmas and the new year. The worst part is at the end when kids start singing a ''Happy Diwali'' song that seems more like a Christmas carol.

Well ! To begin with , let me state that this movie does not really have a story. The pre-interval part is actually quite interesting. Vivek Oberoi is a self-obsessed Gyan Guru - your ever-ready problem solver through newspapers and has a live-in relationship with the sweet Ayesha Takia. His neighbours keep you interested. Especially Tiku Tansania with his incorrigibly cacophonic voice obsessed with the word ''Rawalpindi''. This should keep the cultural gurus interested who travel across the border to dissipate their vocal talents !.

So our Gyan Guru - Vivek Oberoi's life looks to be quite uninteresting and dull with Ayesha Takia sending him ''gentle reminder's'' about their marriage. A sense of claustrophobia then seems to creep in, into the instincts of Gyan Guru and he now wants to re-prioritize the rules that govern his life.

He gets his chance when a rather ravishing ''Mahima Chaudhary'' walks into his life. The director here has taken a nice lil ''pot-shot'' at southie movies especially the ladies who look ''south'' to get a chance to get a good break in hindi movies. There's also an indirect reference to the casting couch that many a times these ladies initiate to get a good break !.

An unemployed Boman Irani lands a job as a pizza delivery job at a pizza outlet. Then he lands into Gyan Guru's home and inadverently and unintentionally helps him get back on the trodden path !

Here's where the movie totally loses focus. The second half is a drag. It is most recommended that u watch the first half and then go home. The director seems confused about what he wants !. Infact even the whole concept of making the pizza delivery stuff as the main theme here is kinda ''out-of -focus''. Maybe a title like''Gyan Guru'' would have done better justice.

Thats all for now. i'd rather use my time writing something better.
