Holiday IQ has been around for some time now. On the face of it, it appears to be a useful travel website with a lot of information, as well as forums for interactive feedback from users. However a closer looks exposes that it is self promoting.
The X Change forum where users can ask questions about destinations, hotels etc and answers can be posted by others is a case in point.
Whenever someone replies to a query with a website link or contact details for hotels etc, the information is promptly deleted or replaced by the moderators with Holiday IQ content. So what is the sense in having these X Change forums if you do not permit users to post. And why are links always designated as "commercial" by the mindless Moderators?
It would be better if Holiday IQ withdraws this X Change facility as there are plenty of better websites such as indiamike.com, raahi.com where one could get all this information easily, which is deemed to be'commercial' by Holiday IQ. For that matter, Mouthshut which is not exclusively a travel portal, provides better travel info than Holiday IQ.
