We bought the Hitachi 4 door Inverter Model FFRW720FPN from Kohinoor, Andheri West receipt dated 18 May 2015
The fridge subsequently broke down and the complaint was first registered on 9th December 2015 i.e. just 7 months after the fridge was bought
For over a week when there was no news from Hitachi I called up the service centre on 16th December and the staff was surprised that there had been no followup and told me someone would call me right away with an update. On not hearing from them I called up again the next day and was told the same thing
After two days on 19th December when I called and sounded upset the lady gave me the number of the spare parts centre+91 8879752320. On calling this number it was very apparent they had never placed an order for the replacement parts at all in the first place. The person who answered the phone told me that he would be placing the order right away and it would reach the next day
When I called up on 21st I was told the part would be fitted at my place on 22nd.
Today on 22 December when I called up on the same number again a man called Pandurab answered the phone and told me one of the parts was not available and would have to be ordered from Thailand and when I got upset and asked why it took them two weeks to realise a part had to be ordered from Thailand he disconnected the call and when I called back again 4-5 times he just disconnected all the calls. Is that the service I'm expected to deal with after buying a premium fridge from a supposed world leader brand?
I called back on the Hitachi customer service number and was given the spare parts supervisor's number+91 887975231819 and a man called Shahab answered the phone saying he was the supervisor. When I asked to speak with the manager he gave me vague answers and then another man called Devang came on the phone and when I mentioned the rude behaviour of Pandurab he started justifying him, telling me it was ok for Pandurab to disconnect my calls since I was angry( I'd like to know who is not angry when something as crucial as a fridge is not working for 2 weeks and the company has not even bothered to get the parts)
