I have zeroed down to buy Hitachi 26SVND after a lot of research to buy the best brand, of course. Hitachi 3 doors can shed 30-40k out of your pockets but bargain around in shops to get best deals.
Its a shame that Indian consumers are not exposed to some facts by the same company in different geographies. Have a look at https://hitachi.ae/products/consumer/featureshighlight/refrigerators.html to understand features like Nano Titanium, super moisture veg compartment etc and how the technology helps consumers. If we are paying for this, we ought to know what build into it.
The current consumption of 26SVND is 1.03-1.06A(against 5 star rating refrigetor of 0.9-1.0A) but is a saver anyways. Normal operations require opening of refrigerator for vegetables for breakfast, lunch n dinner which is in the 2nd drawer and you dont need to open upper bigger compartment-hence loss of energy is less. General storage in upper compartment which is biggest part of the fridge, if you think, needs access for not more than 4-6 times a day for storing and removing food.
Chiller, well depends on your food habbits but again, minimum usage.
Practical n logical design - what u need to access the most is at the reach of your hand, you dont need to bend down to pull out food(except for chiller).
For a family of 3-5 people, 26SVND seems sufficient to me. After all, as a good conversationalist, I told my wife that space in refrigerator can never be enough for women. Limit your temptations with available space and budget - your choices will be simpler.
Also note, 3 door refrigerators do NOT have any star ratings.
This is true value for money.
If Hitachi can read this review, I want to tell them that this fridge can be pulled up between 26SVND and 31SVND - not only will this increase the height but also the capacity and make it more smarter & obvious choice for consumers.
