Hitachi-Quadricool AC Japanese Giant pain in behin. Review on Hitachi Quadricool

I purchased a quadricool AC thinking about Japanese quality and service 3-4 years back even when it was costlier than other ACs.The AC ran fine during the initial 1 yr warranty period but suddenly from 2nd year onwards started giving problems.The 2nd year I had to refill gas in the compressor shelling out Rs. 2600.Next year again the same thing happened.Again 2600 Rs gone down the drain.This year We got the gas refilled again by paying 2600 during may(17th to be precise) within two months the AC had problems again.I called their helpline and registered a complaint in the second week of July 2011.They came, had a look and realized the gas has ran out again, promising they will come back to take back the AC but never to return.I called them six times, but to no avail.half of the time they will close the complaint on their own but when you call them they will say they will promptly come to repair.But they did not come, the reason Whenever an AC gets repaired at Hitachi it is under warranty for 3 months and the warranty says if the fault for which it was repaired comes back again it will repaired free of cost.So they had to repair it free of cost which they would not do, hence the pain in my back.

So if you are planning to buy an AC remember this is not the Japanese quality you heard of, it is a giant pain in all the wrong places.
