If you are looking for real value for money, then my dear friend be prepared to spend more. A little more than other a/c's.
While the cost may be a bit higher side, the benefits are tremendous with a a/c like Hitachi.
First, Power Consumption. This work of art is measly in power consumption. But if can ignore that, there is power mode, where it is cooler before you can think much. It has one the best EER I could see!
Consider this, my house has west facing bedroom window,and during the day it gets so hot that after coming home at around 7:30 if I touch the window panes it HOT. Let the a/c on and there I am embalmed in the cold.
Second, first time ever I saw an intelligent a/c. I am a computer freak, ever since I knew about programming I felt everything in this world should be programmable. This a/c does excatly that. Talk of I feel Hot, Or I feel Very Hot. It senses the night time.
The filter too was awsome, smells are frequent in Mumbai, my other room had this stench coming from outside, while the bedroom which has the a/c with exhaust open did not have any smell at all!
I would go on and on...have a look at one of the showroom!
Though I would desire to own an a/c that understand me with eye contact:)
