Not yet a month old is my newly purchased Hitachi Quadricool TM 1.5 ton window ac. Lookwise it is different from any other brand. In fact, even when the ac is not on, it adds an element of sophistication to a person's sitting or bed room. It is more like a gorgeous tv set. If this product is to be rated, first of all, I would give it eight out of ten.
Now, a few words about its efficiency. When the product name is Hitachi, one need not worry much about its cooling ability. But this window ac is especially remarkable for its silent operation. on this count, it can challenge any machine out in the market.
There are two variants of Quadricool. One is Quadricool (plain), and the other is Quadricool TM. The latter has got twin motors. As a result, it cools more quickly, works more silently, and saves more power. For this variant, one has to pay a bit extra money, but considering the benefits one gets, it pays you in the long run. So go for the TM machine which has got an EER value of 10.6.
Now, a few bitter experiences.
This machine I bought from a renowned showroom opposite Ice Skating Rink in Calcutta. First they insisted I should purchase the plain Quadricool, and not the TM. When I said I won't buy if they can't deliver the TM, they relented. The next morning, as the machine was delivered, to my utter astonishment I discovered that the remote, as well as the manual were missing from the carton, and the front suction grill and the front colour panel broken. Immediately I contacted the Hitachi people, and they replaced the missing elements the same day. later on they replaced the broken parts also. And what did the renowned shop do? The day after they rang me to enquire whether they would send their men for installation!
Thank god this had been done by the Hitachi people on the day I received the machine.
After the Hitachi Atom split ac, which I bought last year, now the Hitachi Quadricool TM; I am relieved that I have acquired the two finest cooling beauties of the world.
