Worst After Sales Service at HITACHI

I ended up paying Rs. 8300 for services.


HITACHI is not inspire the best it inspires the WORST customer service experience. I only expect to forward it to higher management if HITACHI customer service can do that .




  1. HITACHI customer service no. is never reachable.The no provided is never reachable.




  2. Mr Sampath(manager, Chennai) quoted approx. Rs3800 for motor charges of my AC on phone verbally but charged us Rs. 6068 .Learning: Never rely on their words always take written proof/ breakup of prices. Also, first engineer quoted Rs 1700 for pcb board second engineer said Rs 1300 for pcb and Rs 5000 for motor .Different prices at HITACHI great company in making .




  3. All people in HITACHI will quote different prices for same parts of AC.






I was mentally prepared to pay Rs. 5000 approx by their verbal estimation but they ended it with Rs 8300 Such a poor estimation even Hitachi mangers have . Estimation values cannot increase by 3000 rupees .


4.A fully manipulated move. First in the name of service they do servicing and leave some loose wires in your AC . Let the window screws unfixed. Then they can charge exorbitant repair prices to reach their monthly targets. Mr .Sampath even offered us free AMC(even their Area Manager Mr Satish is aware of this deal) but we wanted waiver on motor as it was their fault, which was more money for them for which he refused. He knew it's their fault that's why they offered us free AMC else why will he give us free AMC for no fault of theirs.


When I Said that loose open wires could have been accidental for CHILDREN or people in home he said but no accident happened Mam. Yes, Mr Sampath we should have waited for some accident to file an FIR against the company.HITACHI should take responsibility for their faulty practices.




  1. To our SURPRISE we had to pay Rs. 900 for getting motor installed in addition to Rs 6068 motor charges. That means you purchase their parts and then they will charge you installation charges also+ service charges Rs 500 .How is this justified? What is service charge then.




  2. The motor fixed is of higher capacity than the original one . Reason given that one is not available so customer will be charged higher price . As HITACHI is good at making customer experience pathetic . On further questioning by us as why they put higher capacity motor and charging us on top, they said that now this capacity is only used.




  3. Mr. Sampath said that it was not their serviceman fault that they left wires open during servicing. He totally said it to be very normal practice at HITACHI to provide sub standard service.(Mr. Sampath: We not even used AC too much as weather was not that hot in Chennai that time, only after little use it stopped working)




  4. We raised it to Area Manager also Mr Satish but of no use.






My advice don't ever purchase HITACHI. They will Rob you of your hard earned money without any fear of God.


Better go for LG/ Samsung and have best pro customer after sales service.


Please forward it to as many people as you know.I am expecting no revert from HITACHI my whole purpose is to make other customers beware of HITACHI.
