Hitachi is a very big brand when it comes to air conditioning department. My parents purchased this product in 2009 but replaced it with other air conditioner in 2013 just after 3.5 years.
As soon as we purchased it, it started creating trouble injust8 months of purchase. Cooling day by day went down. When we called engineers they said that gas is leaking because your product is next to a litle drain. The fumes from drain creates hole in conditioning pipes.
Then they took too much of money to repair it. They even damaged the product which created a big dent in our ac. Along with that they insisted us to go for annual maintenance charge(amc) in which we would pay only once in a year then if anything happens to ac they will not charge from us.
We went ahead with amc of hitachi.
Now in another summers when the Temperature was at its max around 46 degree. Our ac stopped cooling. Now when we called them, they came after whole two days aftr calling them so many times and they took our ac with them and didnt repaired it for next whole week. We called customer care and so many otber number but all in vain. It was just because we were not suppose to pay them anything because of that amc option. After one week when they installed the ac back ot was working fine but just after one day it started creating unbearable noise. Now if we would have called them they would again have taken ac back for a whole week in such a scroching summer time.
This was the time we completely got pissed with there service and this bullshit produc t
I suggest never ever go with this brand. They have very pathetic engineers with them highly unprofessional s.
