I purchased Hitachi WINDOW AC - 1.5TR CLASS HITACHI KAZE WAC - RAW318KRD about a few years back in Mohali(Punjab). In the very first month it broke down.Its gas started leaking and there was ice on its vents. So we called their customer support, after waiting for around a week an engineer came. He fixed the AC and told us that it will not break again, but the same problem keeps happening almost every year. It is having similar problem again this year. I logged an online complaint on 4th may.
I just recieved an sms that your breakdown request will be attended soon. I waited for the day and called their customer care on 5th. The executive attending the call was not at all friendly, he told me that you should have waited for 48 hours before a follow up call. I told him that "48 hours" window is not mentioned anywhere. Anyways, I called them back again on 5th, and asked them about status of my complaint, I was told that it is still open, and it could be possible that their service centers are overloaded and hence no one is there to attend to my complaint.
It is 8th today, I am still waiting for them to send someone to attend to it.
