Let’s be frank, many of us had, at one time or the other, the urge to sing the right song to our girl/boy friend, fiancé/fiancée, hubby/wifey, but, failed miserably in our amorous pursuits for want of an appropriate song. HL prides itself to be the largest database of Hindi songs be it Bollywood, Punjabi, Private songs, Ghazals, HindiPop, etc, and I don’t see any reason why I should disagree with their claim. In fact, it is growing at a phenomenal rate with many old and new Hindi songs being added to the database on a daily basis.
The HindiLyrix.com is a great boon to all lovers of Hindi songs who are looking for lyrics of their favourite old and new Hindi songs, but, do not have the time or wherewithal to play those songs and record the https://lyrics.
I have been a regular visitor to this site to whet my appetite for lyrics of old Hindi songs and ‘bhule bisre geet’. This is a very happy hunting place for me, for the stuff I need. There is a rare possibility that you may not find the lyrics of a particular song you are looking for. A request placed with the management giving the details of the song or the ‘mukhda’ will enable them to solve your problem in a couple of days. One can also place a request for the English translation of any Hindi song and the management obliges within two or three days. This is a very useful feature for Non-Hindi speaking people who wish to know the meaning of their favourite Hindi song.
Mercifully, there are no irritating pop-ups. Ads are at a minimal and don’t interfere with our browsing.

HindiLyrix.com, apart from being a database of Hindi songs, is a ‘Use and Contribute’ site that allows users not only access to its large database of Hindi songs but also encourages them to post lyrics of songs that are not in its database. This, in effect, means that there are more people working round the clock in posting songs than would be the case if it was merely restricted to those associated with this site.
There has been marked improvement in the content and functioning of HindiLyrics.com, but I don’t think the people managing this site should pat their backs, at least not yet. There is a lot of scope for improving this site.
The Homepage is not very appealing or attractive, needs a thorough revamping.

The Search engine is still very slow tempting me to grab a few winks.
Lyrics of some songs are wrong, which can be quite misleading.
The songs, being written in Roman script, suffer from a lack of standardisation. Different people posting lyrics adopt different methods of spelling (in the absence of standardisation) depending on their background and the way they pronounce the Hindi words. For instance, the word ‘me’ or ‘I’ can be written in Roman Hindi as ‘men’, ‘mein’, ‘main’, ‘mai’, ‘mei’. This causes a headache in searching for the right song and also comes in the way of understanding the https://lyrics.
Supervision needs to be improved. Sometimes, I find songs of different movies sharing the same name clubbed together. A browser who is not acquainted with the film will assume that all the songs belong to the same film.
Notwithstanding the glitches, this is a great site to browse for all fans of Hindi music searching for lyrics of their favourite songs. So, even if you can’t sing to your sweetheart, reciting the lyrics of the right song at the right place and at the right time will help you to impress your sweetheart in a big way.
Obviously, there is no need to get frustrated or cynical, if you can get lyrical.
