Just watched Hindi Medium And Loved It. Sanket chaudhrys third directional is bit bumpy ride but works wonder as topical satire on the business of education.
Story by zeenat lakshmi & sanket throws light on relevant issues but remains jarringly black & white in its reflection of class discrimination.
First half is filled with breezy moments and exceptional dialogues and humour whilst 2nd half gets high on drama qouteint but climax is wonders.
Many would find the finale bit let down, but I particularly loved the defeatist tone, mocking the irony and completing the arc with realism And the biggest strength of hindi medium is ensemble of some lesser seen but terrific actors who lends a lot of credibility particular mention to criminally underrated Tillotama Shome, Who as tough consultant is so good, her scenes with irrfan are sheer gems.
Saba Qamar blends in seamlessly, bringing rae energy and toughness to her part of a dominating as ambitious wife and mother And if I say irrfan khan is one of the finest actors india has produced.it would still be an understatement.Watching irrfan performance is such blessing.Deepak with his onscreen wife wins you over at the end.
Final Words: - Despite its glaring flaws Hindi Medium is very watchable film with some really good moments and great performance.
