Suggested by a friends, I presumed it to be a mountaineer literature, which later turned out to be a real life military thriller.
The mirror of India's real past written by Brig. Dalvi is a true eye opener for all those who are interested in Indian Military History. The way Indian Politicians dealt with the issue of Indo-China border & conflicts of MacMohan Line is heartbreaking & sleep disturbing. I kept on thinking the least common sense used at that time. It is not at all wonder to me, why people from all over the world attacked India & ruled over her people.
Big. Dalvi openes up his anger top throttle while discussing the pros & cons of the political & military strategy used by Indians as against that of Chinese. The comparison of weapons, foods, roads etc seems like we actually did suicide by declaring war. Hats of to Chinese planning(though I am Indian, I would say this as far as war strategy is concerned) which caught all the top notch officials from middle of sleep.
All Indians should read this at least once. If you are Indian by heart, this Read may bring tears or at least will disturb your sleeps for few nights.
