Himachal Pradesh is one of the most beautiful places of India after Kashmir. The scenic beauty and environment of the place is very cool. The best time to visit the place is November December where one will find fresh snow but it is very cold during the period.
We went in june end and were not able to find any snow but obviously we played in the Rohtang pass beacause you will find snow there all the year round.
All the times have their pros and cons during winters rohtang pass is closed as one can find snow even before that altitude. Many adventurous activities are also closed during winters.
One can enjoy their in any whether they do. The people of Himachal are very helpful and they are also kind and honest. We used to leave our luggages unattended when we went for lunch. The food is available easily and there are many restaurants available. It a very safe place to go.
People go their for snow as well as various sports activities like paragliding, bungee jumping, river rafting, etc and various parks are open for for those activities alone. In the parks several combos are there for the people who want to try all of those.
Himachal is a must place for visit atleast once in a lifetime and places to visit are Manali, shimla, rohtang, Mcleodgang, kangra etc. One can easily get these details on the Internet or can book a trip to himachal via any of the travel agency. State buses also run which give you a tour of the city and are cheap too. There is this toy train which also gives you a ride and is a must try but is not convinient for families.
