What are the peaceful locales in himachal?


Well there are lots of areas but sadly they are not so well advertise.Recently I traveled quite big part of himachal seeking calm areas and found outthere are some very good parts. Shimla district, Kinnaurdistrict these are some worth writing for now. So in Shimla district(as myselfis from Shimla) I started with it .I went to RAMPUR(140 kilometers from Shimla)the main attraction of Rampur is the Lavi Fair, fair is held during the secondweek of November. There is a very sweet hotel of HPTDC called BUSHEHAR REGENCY one dayis quiet reasonable for roaming around in Rampur and seeing old temple. Then I went to Sarahan(40 KM from Rampur) Located halfwayup a high mountain and the Hotel- TheShrikhand HPTDC and What to do-BHIMAKALI TEMPLE, There is a BIRD PARK(near to-BHIMAKALI TEMPLE) and BHABA VALLEY(50km from Sarahan) a beautiful valley along Bhaba river only two days are reasonable to spend


Then I went to Kinnaur(250 km away from Shimla and 45Km from Rampur) very Romantic and Enjoyableplace where to stay The Kinner Kailash, Kalpa HPTDC andwhat to do - RECONG PEO 13 km from KalpaKOTHI 3 km from RecongPeoSANGLA VALLEY: Sangla valley would be a magician extraordinary. Onceseen, it is a place that can never be forgotten.


(Note – my socall base was in Rampur for sarahan and Kalpa for kothi etcfor keeping the budget well in shape) And then one can set out form kalpa other place like Kaza, Keylong and even to see china India border I could not go because I didnot had the budget.


(Note – I recommend to have your car but if you don’t then taxi is a good deal if you can chop it out therate)


Food in Himachal-


“O My God” What a food. I always believe “I live for eating”One can have an experience of a life time. In Himachal Non- Veg food is themain principle of food.


Like in Himachali cuisine you canget sidkoo, bada, poldu, rice, meat, indra, lambu etc.and vegetarians there is guchi, chatri, bakto, lingda, bhoolka, Nasasta etc.


Nasasta: It is sweetmeat of the Kangraregion.


Indra: This dish is made of Urad dal.


Baadi or Ghaunda and Bada or Poldu of the Shimla region.


The popular dishes of the state are Pateer, Chouck, Bhagjery and chutney of Til.


Unofficial -There is no specificcuisine of Himachal Pradesh. Himachal Pradesh is close associated with Punjab. And largemigration of Tibetans. Combinations of these two can be on the cuisine of thestate.


The best way for experience the cuisineis to attend a wedding but as it is notpossible for the max of the readers I suggest HPTDC can also provide some abovefood .
