The best way to print digital photo at home. Review on HiTi Photo Printer

HiTi Photo Printer - Model 640ID: This is one of the best and

cheapest printer I found to print the digital photos. Previously I was

using Canon i320 to print the photos. The quality of the photos were

superb but at the cost. each colur cartige of BC24 costs Rs. 650 and

black cartige BC24 costs Rs. 350. Totalling to Rs 1000 I was able to print only

10 - 15 prints max before any colour tanks gets exhausted (specially

CYAN). I bought this HiTi photo printer and the cost of the photos has

come down drastically with 16.4 million colours, genuine photos

Technical Specifications : This printer is a compact photo shuttle

printer, using D2T2 (Dye Diffusion Thermal Transfer) technology. this

means no dots like inkjets it is a smooth photo. There are some custom

templates available to make the photo vibrant. this printer is able to

work as stand alone (i.e. without a computer). this accepts all types

of memory card used in camera, phone etc. It uses 4 pass system that

means first it prints with yellow, then with magenta and then cyan

before it provides final protective coating for UV rays and

anti-ageing. the company claims that the photos can be retained as it

is for 50 years and is protected from water, UV rays and finger prints.

The look of this printer is like a futuristic vertical Phone type

occupies least space on the desk due to vertical standout. This has a

1.6" LCD screen to select the photos and program.

This printer can print Photo IDs to borderless printing on a 4"x6" postcard. The

consumables are at the cost of Rs. 700.00 in this cost it comes with a

coulur cartige and 50 postcard size photo papers (don't worry about the

exhaust of coulour , there is enough colour to print 50 photos). The

photo paper quality is real good and after printing it is like a photo
