Talking of Heyy Babyy the first question that comes to mind is

Why do the most beautiful always see fashion where everyone else sees silliness?

What was Vidya Balan thinking when she signed up for this film? I mean

1.This is the most colourless role she has had so far

2.Her styling in the film is abominable.Manish Malhotra what were you thinking?

Heyy Babyy is a juvenile effort. When I saw its first promo on TV, the kutte kamine one saying

"kutte to wafadar hote hain,

phir hum wafadar kaise huye,

we are foxes"

I realised what we were in for, a flat and uninspiring film with the lacklustre Sajid Khan brand of humour. And 5 minutes into this film as Akshay Kumar says "Who is going to wash my underwear now?" your worst fears are confirmed.Candidly, this is not good humour. This is not even in good taste. And as the film moves on it the laughs become smaller and smaller. What follows is a vaudeville with Chaplinesque humour which is jarring and rather infuriating at times.

Talking of the plot(plot?) Sajid had been outrightly denying that this is the remake of Three men and a baby.He was right here, because this is about One man one woman, with two other men and a baby. The highpoint of this unispiring film is the 15-20 mins after intermission where Akshay Kumar tries to woo Vidya Balan but again this part is far too stretched from reality to believe.

Frankly speaking this is the sort of film where most emotions are conveyed through dialogue rather than emotions and expressions. There is hardly anything to read between the lines. The dialogues as well are far too corny and it is not the everyday me and you speak. So, what I would like to know is what is the use of an actress like Vidya here? You could have done with a non-actor like Katrina Kaif here.

Talking of the actors, Akshay Kumar plays the me smarter than you goon act again and does it very well again. But he is lacklustre in the emotional moments.Ritesh Deshmukh is good in his part but he can move on from twinkling his eyes like a neon bulb and those insipid gay jokes to something worthwhile now.Fardeen Khan is a revelation here.He does a fine job here.Boman Irani overacts to the hilt.Vidya is ok, but it isnt much of her fault to be honest.

So, to sum it up Heyy Babyy is just another one of those comedies that Sajid ripped apart all these years on TV, a little less over the top maybe. But it hardly has anything to offer.Highly disappointing.
