Madhur Bhandarkar has always done a great job in aesthetically potraying real life practices in films. But looks like he is losing his touch. As heroine does not reach one's expectations.Although it succeeds in throwing light on the malpractices and the other side of the ever smiling glamour world, it fails to connect all these little incidents into an entertaining string. Kareena fills life into her role as Maahi Arora, the superstar of Bollywood. She looks every bit of the gorgeous diva her role expects her to be.But when it comes to her character, it is difficult to believe that the girl with an emotional stability of a 2-yr old child managed to achieve her position.
Also, her ever changing want of what to be in life-a high profile actress or scrupulous human being, leaves us all confused.Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutt , Ranvir Shorey and the others have done a commendable job but actresses like Mugdha Godse and Helen have not been utilized properly. When the film crawls towards its climax, there remains no reason left for the audience to remain in their seats.
On the whole, a film with a lot of potential which alas has neither been utilized nor presented in an appealing manner.
