Hero Maestro edge

Priced at Rs 49, 700 and 51, 150 ( ex-showroom, New Delhi) Maestro Edge is available in two variants - LX and VX respectively. With a handful of cosmetic additions and an all-new 110.9cc air-cooled engine, Maestro Edge is a sportier version of the regular model. Despite being powered by a new engine, there is a negligible difference in the power output of both the siblings. Dimensionally, Maestro Edge is longer at 1841mm and taller at 1190mm as opposed to 1780mm length and 1165mm height of the regular model. However, Maestro is wider than the new Edge with a minor difference of 15mm and lags behind when it comes to wheelbase.

Maestro Edge Looks

With a bolder look and sharper lines on the Edge, it is definitely a better looking scooter of the two. Other additions such as LED tail-lamp, attractive aero-ducts in the front and a modish silencer bring about a notable change in the overall looks.

Maestro Edge Engine Specifications & Transmission

The 110.9cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine gets a single cylinder and puts out 8.31bhp of power at 8000rpm along with 8.30Nm at 6500rpm. Mated to a CVT, the scooter is claimed to attain top speed of 85km/h. One must note that the regular model makes 8.05bhp along with 9.10Nm and reaches top speed of 81km/h.

Maestro Edge Features

There is a halogen headlamp in front along with air-ducts and a black windscreen. Side panels feature sharp lines. The seat is well cushioned and provides good room for the rider as well as the pillion. There is a grab-rail for the pillion’s support at the back. Other features such as telescopic front suspension, provision for external fuel filling, digital analog combo meter console, mobile charging port and boot light, bigger front alloy wheel, pillion footrests, integrated braking, tubeless tyres and immobilizer are also available on the scooter.

Maestro Edge Braking & Handling

Maestro Edge is equipped with Integrated Braking that triggers stopping action as and when required. Suspension duties are handled well by telescopic shock absorbers in front and spring hydraulic dampers at the rear.

Hero Maestro Edge Wheels & Tyres

Maestro Edge gets tubeless tyres in front and rear and gets an option for a bigger front alloy wheel.

Hero Maestro Edge Competition

Competition is stern in this segment with new models barging in, thankfully for Maestro Edge, it is among the few popular options available in the 110cc space. Honda Activa 3G remains the toughest rival with highest popularity among scooter buyers followed by new options such as Mahindra Gusto, TVS Jupiter and Yamaha Ray-Z among others
