I used to ride a HH splendour bike, now used by my dad.The bike is good for small rides within the city.For anyone who wants a bike for small distance commuting and for running errands in city , the HH splendour is a good choice.
Mileage: The bike gives a average of 65kmpl in the city.
Handling: The wheel width is small.Nothing much to appreciate on the handling.The small size of the bike and shorter wheelbase give the freedom to negotiate heavy city traffic when compared to the bulkier 150cc machines. Till 60kmph the bike is smooth.At greater speeds, the vibration is intolerable.The engine starts screaming after 60.You dont feel like going any faster than 60kmph on this bike, it is frightening and you dont feel confident to give any more throttle -after all you cannot expect much in this regard from a 97cc 4S bike.
Reliability: The bike is highly reliable, close to zero maintanence - regular oil changes every 2500kms will ensure good performance.
Comfort: This is the one good attribute which is difficult to find on this bike. The bike is NOT preffered for any long rides.The bike weighs a little over 100kgs and vibration is a BIG concern at high speeds.The gear shift is smooth. The rear shock absorbers are not good at all when riding without pillion.On a bumpy road , you get shocks directly on to the spine. Repeated riding on not so good roads will give a back pain for sure.
Service centers: We have good HH service stations in Trivandrum.No issues during free services. After all the free services, we have been giving it to a local mechanic in the neigbourhood for oil changes.
This bike is recommended for those who want a zero maintanence bike to meet their small distance commuting needs.
