Hi looks like I may be a little late in describing this biking beauty but as the saying goes opinions can never end.I myself own a 97 model Hero Honda Splendor.I Like the models before 2000 as there has be many changes to control the emission and make it according to the pollution norms.This is what made problems with the bike.The sound of the bike has been reduced ,the sound with the bass was what I and many craves about but its removal was a shock.
But.....as is.... the bike from the hero honda stable has never let down bcoz it is the worlds best selling and made herohonda famous.The bike is very comfortable for the indian road with all the puddles and holes and bad roads.The bike goes on and on with out any problem.
As far as mileage goes mine gives a good 68 km/ltr which is more than enough.I brought my bike for 27500 (second hand)and changed the battery and did some regular maintanance.Now I am asked if I would sell it for 30000 which according to the recent economy is good bcoz no bikes can give such a resale value.
For all I am not give any technical details but if we maintain the bike nicely it will be with us for all we want..
