I bought this bike one year back and till now had no problems.
Riding is very comfortable, even for the pillion. The shock absorbers are good if not excellent. The riding is smooth even at 70kmph. I’ve not crossed this speed limit. And, it is better to ride at the optimum speed. This not only improves mileage but also keeps your engine run for a long number of years. This bike is not for people who are speed crazy.
Mileage is good. On long straight roads I get an average mileage of 70 kmpl. I once got 80 kmpl. On very heavy traffic I get 60-65 kmpl as promised by the dealer. But, you can get this mileage only if your speedometer needle is between 40-50 kmph.
The braking is also good and not as poor as suggested to me by many.
The power of the headlight is good. I very rarely use the high beam. Hero Honda guys can think of including a pass-by switch in their next release, as it is very easy to manipulate. I feel this is missing.
Tips for good mileage:
Travel at a speed of 40-50 kmph.
Switch off the engine when waiting at signal for more than 50 seconds.
Use the clutch at the minimum. I’ve seen some people put their bike in first gear and holding the clutch when waiting at signal. This wastes lot of petrol.
Don’t raise the accelerator too much in the first and second gears.
Tip for long battery life:
Never connect additional electrical devices to the battery, like horns additional fancy lights etc. Use the bike with the factory fittings.
And last but not the least ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET. PLEASE...
