We have had a hero honda pleasure for about 3 years now and have not had any problem with it at all. it is regularly used by my wife as I am basically a car and bike guy.(fiat palio/honda shine). The vehicle is run about 6000 kms to date. the essential features are given below:
Mileage is about 38-40 km per ltr in heavy chennai traffic.Very powerful and fast engine which has more torque than activa/dio though the same basic engine. I once nearly fell off while accelerating hard on a fast turn, though I have about 2 lakh kms of biking experience for 20 years!.
Excellent for carrying heavy loads- my entire family is overweight, but it even takes three at a time (totalling 170 kgs)without any hesitation.It is so good in traffic that my wife has stopped car driving all together and I had to sell off her car.The colour is fairly good and has not faded in the chennai sun.(sea green)
Body parts easily available even for exotic colours readily.I once changed the wheel cover when I crashed at high speed into a stupid indica taxi. absolutely no damage except for front wheel cover.
The suspension is on the hard side and the seat is also hard.The front plastic parts tend to rattle a bit unless properly tightened. plastic parts are also prone to breakage when hit, must be driven carefully.I had to change the battery after about 1and 1/2 years as the starter stopped working.
If the scooter is not used for a couple of days the self start doesnt work, otherwise it is quite prompt.I change the engine oil every 1500 kms at home itself.( the secret of a four stroke engines longiviety and smoothness is frequent oil changing).
The engine is very very smooth even with ordinary petrol.Has fallen and taken heavy impacts on two occasions (due to bad traffic) but absolutely no problem with the integrity of the chassis.Anyone wanting to buy the scooter need not have any fear whatsoever. it is also suitable for men, however, it is a bit short, so it is best only for short males(less than 5'6") and taller males would prefer the aviator or a bike.
