Hero Honda Pleasure 100cc. Review on Hero Honda Pleasure

I’ll keep this review simple with no complicated stuff cuz my target audience are WOMEN and their Hubbies :) HH has dared to launch itz first ever scooter in India only for women. Hats Off HH.... India has never focused on the feminine crowd and now HH has gone to the extent of launching exclusive showroom for the female customers. These new showrooms for women customers would be branded as ‘Just4her’. I pity, even a tiny scooter like scooty was targeted for both men and women and guess what? Even I was given a scooty when I was in my 10th.hehehe..

To start with the Price Hero Honda has confirmed the pricing of Pleasure. It would be sold at Rs. 36,240 (ex-showroom Delhi) which is think is a good deal for the scooter when compared to the competition. Its powered by a 102cc Engine, which is similar to what, we find in the Indian market. It comes with 7bhp of power, which is good. It comes with a self-start, which means no kicking (except those first morning kicks). The top speed of this bike goes up to 85kmph (tested by me), but u need to push the engine hard... It can be best enjoyed at speeds of 60kmph-70kmph. The balance is good with the zappy tires, which come as a default from the company.

The weight of this scooter is 104kgs, which makes it easy for the women to manage even in the heavy traffic. To be frank, to handle HH Pleasure is much like Activa. I for a moment thought that I was riding an activa. The pickup was good for the city traffic. Not like Activa (where u get a jerk) but good enough to leave other young women behind... Hehehehe...

Now comes the best part. Features.... The first thing that I noted was the Tuff Up Tube...This means no Punctures. Well I will try to be simple here. This is just like your other tube tires we have... The difference is that between the tube and the tire there is a liquid, which is placed. So whenever there is a puncture, you need to remove the nail/ foreign body and drive a little so this liquid, which is present between the tire and the tube, enter the gap and seals the tube. The liquid acts like an adhesive, which automatically seals the puncture. A good features especially for the gals/women.... No more tension of tire getting flat...

The headlamp focus was good. I compare that with a kinetic and it was anytime better... I am talking about the new kinetic and not the old. So u can be rest assured of the light thrown because itz focus is much on the road and should not be a problem for night driving...

It has got a fuel gauge and the capacity of the tank is 5liters...The front console of the bike is OK. I would definitely want it to be livelier and not the regular one. Coming to the seat now. It has good seating for both the rider and the pillion. The seat is broad enough for comfortable rides...Not only is the seat wide but also under seat compartment has enough space to carry your helmet and other stuffs. Again, HH would have given mobile charging point here, which would have had an added feature. The tail lamp is damn powerful. Its as good as old kinetic's headlamp. Trust me on this... The tail is coordinated with body lining which is a good thing. I found the tail and the rear indicator a little jazzy which will for sure add up to your attitude...

Well... This is not my part but as a part of this review I want to writ this information. Pleasure comes in dazzling color. I always go with black... Except scooty all my bikes and my car are Black and they look HOT.... The colors available are Red, Burned Orange, aqua Green (boy oh boy), Yellow (this one can for sure be a taxi), metallic Blue, Light purple, Grey Silver, Pearl silver.... I think best choice would be the gray silver and the pearl silver for women and for young women it could be the rest (Check for scratches. Try this. When u go to the showroom use ur nail and scratch a little on the colors without the showroom guy seeing, hehehehe... This way u can see which one gets the least visible scratch). This scratching thin sounds a little bad but what can we do when the guys or should I say gals at the showroom do not give out the right information... If they are true to you, then be true otherwise, use your techniques...

Well that is all I have about this scooter. I cannot say anything about the mileage because I don’t own one... My friends do and they told me that they would keep me updated and I promise that I would keep you gals/ladies updated....

Before I end this review. If u are not in a hurry to buy this scooter, then hang on for Kinetic's stuff. They are coming up with good scooters. Some of them as powerful as 235cc and they have discs with them.... So only if u not in hurry then, hang on... Kinetic is supposed to launch their stuff in mid 2006.... That’s the news...
