I bought this vehicle in August this year. I had lot of options of 100 and 125 cc engine vehicles in the market viz. Yamaha Gladiator, Honda Shine, Stunner, Bajaj Discover, XCD 135. All vehicles have positives and negatives and still I shortlisted Passion Pro and XCD 135. Both were new at that time. Though, XCD 135 has disc brake option, digital odometer, 135 cc engine, I relied on the performance of HH Passion plus and resale value and so went for Passion Pro. Now, my vehicle has run over 3000km.Here, I am not differentiating as pros and cons. Rather, I am giving some information.

  1. Performance:The performance is same as that of HH Passion Plus where the power start, passer and silencer guard are additions.

  2. Mileage: In city with no pillion when riding at speeds not exceeding 45km/hr, it gives a mileage of 77km/litre. At varying speeds of 50, 60 and 70km/hr, it manages to give around 65-70 km/litre. When rid at over 80km/hr, it gave only 58km/litre. Then, I checked the mileage several times it is giving 75km/litre@45km/hr. With a heavy pillion, it gives 60 plus at 50kmph  For a new vehicle to get good mileage, do not exceed 45km/hr and avoid over acceleration for the first 2000km. So, low speed great mileage. High speed less mileage.

  3.  Look: Comparing Passion Pro with Bajaj Platina, Splendor Plus, Flame and Star City, Pro is slightly attractive because of modified graphics though similar to new Passion Plus.

  4. Low maintenance: I suppose.

  5. Spacious seat: Seat is wide and spacious so the pillion sits comfortably. When pillion is heavy there is slight shaking.

  6. No disc brake:Hero Honda is marketing Passion Pro with front disc brake but producing only those with drum brake.

  7. Cold-start problem: It is not necessary to use choke for cold-start problems. In two or three kicks the engine starts. Avoid power start in the morning as it may drain the battery.

  8. Engine: Engine is smooth but gets off at slow speed at times. Thanks to power-start for saving me from jamming the traffic.

  9. Wobbling:Had wobbling problem and got rectified in the second service.

  10. Head light: Not powerful.

  11. Top speed: Crossing 90km/hr

  12. Riding:

a)The engine is a refined one and gives a smooth ride. Even at high speeds, the engine is smooth.

b)Road grip is excellent.

c)(Also mentioned by another user) The max power 7.8 PS is not enough. In slow traffic, one needs to down the gear to the first because in second gear, the bike already being heavy that too with a pillion or even solo the required power to pull is not enough and gives knocking sound.

d)Pick-up is less. While crossing road, a rider on a 125cc bike in parallel with a passion pro bike may easily cross. Passion Pro waits for the road to be free and then crosses.

e) In free road while riding with a heavy pillion the bike needs more acceleration to get the required speed. The amount of acceleration is comparatively less for a solo ride.

f)Problem of back pain is common as two-wheelers are not for very long rides.

This bike is for commuting. If you go for this vehicle, you have to accept these facts.

13.Cost:Yes, this is bit higher as there are not much features when compared to the same priced vehicles of other companies.

Overall, this is a considerable vehicle with low maintenance, fuel-efficient and good performance with manageable problems for a commuter. For those who just want to go from one place to another and a fuel-efficient one this bike fits. Since, this is a 97.2 cc engine we should not expect racing standards and be watching higher cc engined vehicles overtaking us on-road. For those who expect racing capacity, this might not fit. Yet, this is one of the best in 100 cc ranged two wheelers.
