HeroHonda Passion Plus VS Bajaj Discover.
Hi Friends,
Now my latest comparision of bikes is between HH Passion and Bajaj Discover. These two bikes belong to the same segment. Lets go directly to the comparision. The factors considered in this review are Performance, Comfort, Mileage and Styling.

Firstly HH Passion plus: --------------------------------------------------------------
The Performance of HH passion plus : ---------------------------------------------
The engine of passion plus has only one cylinder and is a 4 stroke air cooled engine. The displacement of this bike is exactly 97.2 cc. Its maximum power is 7.5 ps at 8000 rpm. The gear box has four gears. The gear shift of this bike is smooth. The clutch is a Multi plate wet type clutch. The hardness of the clutch can be however adjusted. By all my examination the top speed of this bike seems to be 85kmps. As this bike is a heavy one there would be less shaking and rattling. It has no button start. Must rise your leg and start it. It has a electronic CDI Ignition which is normal in almost all bikes. The brakes of this bike are also great inspite of being Drum brakes.
Comfort of HH passion plus : --------------------------------------------------------
The new passion plus is a true comfortable bike. The rear cushion is adjustable. The bike as well as the seat are very wide. So even a sumo can feel comfortable while riding it. The rear tyre is also broad. That means that good road grip and no skidding. The handle bar is also big with good grips. The bike has also good ground clearance. That means a height person can feel comfortable while on the bike. The suspension of this bike is also good. The front suspension is telescopic hydraulic fork suspension. The front suspension is some what long when compared to other bikes in its segment. The rear suspension is a swing arm suspension which is of 5 step adjustable damper. The wheel base of this bike is also good. This is a heavy bike which weighs about 116 kerbs weight.
Mileage of HH passion plus : --------------------------------------------------------
The fuel tank capacity of this bike is 12.8 litres which includes 1 liter reserve. This bike delivers a mileage of about 60 on normal city riding conditions. On the highway this gives a mileage of 65-70 kilometers per liter. This bike is OK for average riders. However the mileage can be improved by proper riding conditions. Styling of HH passion plus : ---------------------------------------------------------
The passion plus has been released in nine exiting colors. They suit different tastes of different people. The two tone body colors are great. The newly introduced body coloured mirrors are very good. The aluminum die cast grip is good to look. Heat protector on the silencer adds more beauty to the bike. There are new dials on the meters which are good to look. If a short handle is kept to this bike then from the front its looks become damn! Some modification will change this bike and will give a fresh look. The domb and rear tail light are good and are beautiful.

Now Bajaj Discover : -----------------------------------------
Performance of Discover : ------------------------------------------------------------
The discover has a 4 stroke air cooled engine. It has the latest Bajaj technology named DTS-i. The displacement of this bike is 124.52 cc. The maximum net torque of this bike is about 10.8 nm for 6500 rpm. The gear box of this bike contains of four gears. The gear shift of this bike is also good and smooth. No complaints on the gear box. The clutch is wet multi disk type. The type of ignition system is micro processor controlled digital CDI. There is kick start as well as button start for this bike. But the button start version costs more. The brakes are drum brakes and the braking of this bike is great. The maximum speed of this bike is 80 kilometers per hour. This is also a heavy vehicle. It weighs only 17 kgs less than pulsar. So stability and road grip equivalent to Pulsar.
Comfort of Discover : -----------------------------------------------------------------
This bike of Bajaj features a new suspension introduced by the Bajaj named SNS suspension. That means spring in spring suspension. The suspension will have two springs instead of one. That means good comfort on bad Indian roads. This suspension really lowers the strain and back pain. This bike and CT-100 are really suited for those who travel a lot in their day to day life. The front suspension is a telescopic suspension. The rear suspension is SNS which I explained above and is with hydraulic shock absorbers. The rear suspension is adjustable. This bike is not that tall nor that short. The persons who’s height is above 5 and till 5.5 feel comfortable while on this bike. The seat is also broad which provides essential seating comfort. The rear tyre is broad which provides good road grip. The wheel base is also ok. The alloy wheels give good road grip to the vehicle.
Mileage of Discover : -----------------------------------------------------------------
The manufacture company states that this bike gives 101 kilometers per liter. Recently a new TV ad has also been introduced by the Bajaj on discover that DISCOVER THE JAADU OF 101 KMS PER LITER. But this bike gives 50-55 kilometers on normal city riding conditions. On the mighty high way it gives 60 kilometers per liter. However a normal man buys a bike for city riding. So we should consider the mileage inside the city. The mileage can be improved by following good riding practices. You can refer my review on How to increase the mileage for more useful tips.
Styling of Discover : ------------------------------------------------------------------
All of you know that Pulsar is the dominating in the market in the styling section. All I can say that Discover is the little brother of Pulsar. All the same parts in different sizes and placed in different angles. The only differences in Pulsar and Discover are the fuel tanks and head lamps. The alloy wheels add more styling to this bike. The big head lamp is good to look. The graphics of this bike are great. The colors introduced in this bike are all good.
