Engine sounds perfect. Lights on and my black beast moved slowly passing by the streets, hitting the highway where it was just like no man’s land. Sky started to pour and wiping my muddy wind shield to show the name and I sail at a speed of 120 kms. Look at the sky, oh it’s all dark and I wish if it stops pouring down however, my review is not about poetry but its all about 223cc, 17 bhp, Hero Honda KARIZMA.

Snap Shot:

Meter reading: 8786 kms(6 months)

Top Speed: 130 kms

Gear Shift: 1 down 4 up

Tank Capacity: 2 Reserve/15 Full

Mileage: 33(city)

Fuel: HP Power

When mind becomes your eyes:

-

*What comes in your mind when someone overtakes you? Do you feel little sick? Do you feel even more irritated when you riding a 223CC beast? Hold on! This is a warning for all my fellow friends who ride the same machine. Karizma has a low pick up in comparison to Pulsar 220 or Pulsar 200, so for all those bikers, especially in the initial days its mandatory to let the engine tuned up. So it’s highly recommended to ride at a speed of 40 to 60 at the RPM 4 and once you get through your second service, you are all set to race. Let the engine set and give time or precisely every gear shift at the RPM 4.

All eyes on R:

-

*I’m impressed! The way they have designed the new KARIZMA with R blended with a grey graphic on its tank as well as on its doom. So, the concept was not to give away the old golden color KARIZMA plated on the petrol tank but to out shine the current market appeal by trying a different look by not changing its parts. But yes, they have changed the tail lamp design. In fact, I liked the old tail lamp.

Tea Break:

I like being young. I don’t wish to get older but face the reality. I sold my unicorn and had no other option than to go for Karizma. Initially I thought this bike is going to give me some tough time since my friends advised me to look for some fuel consuming vehicle. But my heart ruled over the mind and bought this bike for 84000 Rs on road. And I have an alarm fixed in my bike which is no more functioning so kindly avoid this since most of the showroom staffs will push for it. Not worth it!

Honey there is a Pulsar behind you:

Oh no! Take it light. Let them overtake you. They are powerful, macho and will definitely taunt you. They are powerful you see and will speed since their initial pick up is superior to any bikes in India. Now, you can see R15 and Appache coming to the league. But there is a quote which says ‘Old is Gold’. Old is always gold baby. I got distracted from the conversation changing my gear to top end, seeing my meter crossing 100 leaving those monsters behind.

When there is no road ahead:

My tubeless tyres swing like a boat and I see lot of patches on the road. Chill bro, your bike is fixed with a telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers and the rear suspension is suitable for Indian roads. That is a swing arm with 5 step adjustable type hydraulic shock absorbers.

Ride the beast like a brute:

Karizma might remind you off CBZ however it’s altogether different. It has a long wheel base which is stable in many ways. Stability at top speed [125] is mind blowing. Let’s not talk about the suspension since its set up and mated with single down tube conventional frame will make it exceptionally great.

Drink baby, drink:

Well, all of us are worried about mileage. And let’s not talk about mileage here but then I have experienced something good about it. In city, I get 34 kmpl which is totally acceptable since they promise you only 30 kmpl. And in high ways I get about 40 as an average. So, I’m not bothered about mileage as long as it gives me pleasure in riding and of course speed factor. It takes you to 60’s in just 4 seconds. The most important thing is how you ride the bike. Like I have mentioned it all depends on the gear shift and avoid opening full throttle and then reduce of clutch usage.

Pick a color:

Well, I picked black. I believe the color black suited really well in the latest version and chose it avoiding yellow. Now I am really fascinated about the look and of course that MTV Roadies Advertisement. The other colors available are blue, yellow, silver and red.

Engine:

Well built with a 17 bhp, 223 cc single cylinder stables the machine, perhaps the best engine manufactures in the world. You want to know its performance? Then please take this beast to a high way and try a test ride. The bike sails like a boat at a speed of 125 without any distractions and I do fly like an eagle touching the road slowly and steadily.
