Iam getting zma on 6th april 05. Review on Hero Honda Karizma

This is vasanth, I was planning to buy zma from 2004, but due to unexpected financial probs the plans got derailed. I finally booked my zma today and am getting it delivered tomorrow. Now I am from bangalore, Post VAT season, the price of zma has touched 80-k.

It is costing me now Rs 80120 on road. It used to cost Rs 76200 before march 31st. Neways, now zma has been modified by herohonda to meet bharat stage 2 emission norms. So the zmas that are selling now are slightly modified in engine and exhaust. Few changes are also to be seen.

The metal badge ''karizma'' on tank is gone, now you get a sticker instead. Plus, only Seagreen and yellow colour zmas have steel colour ''karizma'' stickers on tank. All other colours come with gold colour Sticker. Also the Herohonda logo sticker on the side of the front faring is gone, A new ''225 cc premium sports'' sticker is replacement. Apart from these there are no other visible changes to the bike. I have booked silver colour bike, even this bike has gold colour ''karizma'' sticker on tank.

So guys, my dream is finally coming through tomorrow, can't wait to get my hands on zma. I need inputs from zma oldies about best practices with zma. I want to know should I use normal petrol or go for speed or 93 octane fuel? I travel 35 kms to and fro office to home. So pls suggest what is good for zma. I don't mind shelling out extra bucks on fuel if it is the best for zma.

Also pls tell me about taking care of zma especially the electronic dials, then iam worried about making sharp u turns in it. Also what is the top speed I can drive during the runin period? is 60 ok?

I have brought this bike in finance. I made downpayment of 31939 and have to pay 2539 per month for 23 months, that cooly brings the total to 90k. I dont' mind it as zma is worth it. Just sharing the existing price info.

I am getting zma from prakash motors , lalbagh road, the best dealer in karnataka, Also one more thing, the teflon coating (polishing)is extra cost of RS 500. Now you get a side carrier (dikki!) for zma at extra cost, it suits it fine, but iam not gonna put one.
