Over one month since I began using my New Look Glamour. Have the following observations and comments to make which I think will be useful to you guys.

Though raw pick up is lacking it is made good by the mileage Glamour has to offer. I am getting 63-65 mileage per litre in mixed conditions. I drive through the city more and am getting the mentioned mileage. As far as possible I avoid jack rabbit starts and abrupt braking. The vehicle as such is smooth and so are the gears. Initially the brakes were like glass, the vehicle would not stop when brakes is applied – but now after 1250 kms it has changed and the brakes are good.

Once while doing 60-70 I heard a terrible rattling in the front, had to stop the vehicle and to my amazement found the horn dangling from the wires after it got dislodged from the nuts. Honda better be careful because the same could have interfered with the front alloys and anything would have happened. The horn itself is not loud.

A side stand indicator is missed sorely. Another thing is the lights in the meters are very dim. Would have been fine if they could rework the same and come with better lighting in the instrument panel.

Overall the bike handles good and gives better mileage too.

Please go thru this review and please rate the same.

Dear Friends –I hate writing, but when I consider buying anything or think of buying anything I come to MS to read reviews ravenously. So obviously I though it would be better to jot down my experience so it would be useful to other who come to MS for reviews and opinions.

08/12/06::: Took delivery of HH Glamour with Self Start and Black Alloy wheels today. I had booked one with disc brakes but after waiting for 20 days and since the disc version was not available at my place , finally decided to go for Alloy and Self version. The color was Tornado Grey with Black. The dealer in Kollam M/s Venad Automobiles tried their best to procure and deliver one with Disc brakes but to no avail.

In the outset let me tell you the new look HH Glamour is quite capable of turning heads with the sporty graphics and Glamorous black Alloy Wheels, add to it the styling you have a winner all the way. I was riding the Yamaha YBX till date – the one I purchased in year 2000. It had carried me and my fortunes for over 72,000 kms and never has the bike faltered or let me down all these years- not even a mild starting trouble has occurred all these years. The YBX is a hell of a machine from the Yamaha Stable who is reclaiming lost ground after the stoppage of the best - RX 100 which I used for 4 years (50,000 kms). I HAVE NEVER CHANGED THE CHAIN AND SPROCKET OF THIS YBX Of late the shocks were a bit stiff and the mileage has come down to 45 and occasional squeaks and creaks are heard . Other than that the bike still holds good and pick up is as great as ever.

Compared to the YBX 11 bhp the Glamour 9bhp, I think lacks in power and occasionally if you are not going to change gears the engine drums to enlighten you of the imminent gear change. In terms of comfort the HH glamour is miles ahead of contemporary bikes and also the HH company is reliable than others. This is my opinion. The beam quality of the light is good. The indicators and brake lights are truly powerful. The thoughtful inclusion of trip meter, helmet holder and space under the seats are really worth mentioning. The tyres are also good 3.00/18 in the back and 2.75/18 serving the front. The engine is silent and the horn should have been a bit more louder or HH could have fitted the same with dual horns.

The HH showroom people mentioned that the Glamour would be returning a mileage of 55-60 per litre, but then my bike is a new one and I will have to put it through the process of running in. The seating is also comfortable as I am able to fit in quite snuggly as I am 6ft tall.

If I am not mistaken, mine is the First NEW Model Glamour with ALLOY and SELF in town. Let me take the bike through its paces, consider the pros and cons – then certainly I will come up with a better review about the performance of HH Glamour
