I'm back with yet another review on bikes, this time it’s the turn of the new hero Honda CBZ extreme. I managed to get hold of a CBX extreme from one of my friends for 3 days. First of all before moving further into review let me put some light on its technical specifications.
4-stroke air-cooled single cylinder engine, which produces 14.4 bhp at 8500rpm.Maximum torque, is 12.8Nm at 6500rpm.
Here is my positive feedback of HH CBZ extreme
1) Looks are fresh. Black alloy wheels give it a sporty bike feel.
2) Excellent pickup: I was amazed to see that an hero Honda bike will produce such superb pickup coz Hero Honda’s portfolio was always dominated by smooth and calm natured bikes.
3) Riding position is really good which improves overall quality of ride. Long rides on CBX extreme won’t leave you with back troubles. It reminds me of karizma, karizma is really good bike for a long cruises.
4) Overall performance is good. It delivers a top speed around 112kmph.
5) CBX Ex is a good handler too thanks to the longer wheelbase. Brakes are above average especially the front 240mm disk brake.
Now lets go through the negative aspects,
1) Even thought hero Honda did a lot in terms of looks but still this bike doesn’t have that killer instinct in it’s look like a pulsar or apache. It definitely looses to pulsar and apache in terms of looks.
2) Rear shock absorbers are not the greatest.
3) And the most disappointing thing about HH CBX extreme is its fuel efficiency. On normal traffic conditions she gives 42-45 kmpl while the figure jumps to 50 in highways. This is the aspect on which hero Honda should really work on.
I thought of writing a detailed review but the lack of time didn’t allow me.Overall, CBX extreme is much better than previous CBZ in terms of looks and pickup.
Thanks for reading my review. If you find any flaw in my review, you can point it out in the comments section.
